Script interpretation and delivery
Examples of commercial scripts may include radio and TV ads for products and services, promotional videos, and corporate training materials.Through this training, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to interpret commercial scripts in a way that effectively delivers the intended message to the audience while meeting the client’s objectives.
Additionally, participants will gain insights into how to adjust tone and pacing to suit the script, as effective commercial voiceover requires more than just clear enunciation and proper pronunciation. Participants will learn how to adjust their delivery to create the desired emotional response in the audience and to maintain their interest throughout the piece.
Participants will learn how to identify the critical points of the script and highlight them to ensure that they are not overlooked. The key messaging can include the brand’s unique selling proposition, the product’s benefits, and the call to action.
Developing versatility through vocal expression
Developing versatility in character voiceovers is essential for anyone looking to excel in the voice acting industry. With the rise of animation, video games, and audiobooks, there is an increasing demand for voice actors who can bring life to a wide range of characters with different voices and personalities.
One of the core techniques that will be covered in this training is vocal expression. Voice actors must learn to use their voice to convey a wide range of emotions, from happiness and excitement to fear and anger. Participants will learn how to use their voice to create different tones, inflections, and pitches that effectively capture the character’s personality and mood.
Crafting engaging narration
This part of the course will focus on teaching participants how to use tone, pacing, and delivery to create compelling voiceovers that capture the listener’s attention and keep them engaged throughout the narration.
Narration voiceovers must deliver information in a way that is engaging and easy to follow. Participants will learn how to use inflection and emphasis to highlight important points in the narration and create a sense of rhythm and momentum that drives the story forward. They will also learn how to use pauses and silence effectively to create a natural flow and prevent the narration from becoming monotonous.
Another essential technique that will be covered is how to remain conversational in the delivery, even under the pressure of the recording booth. Participants will learn how to maintain a relaxed and conversational tone throughout the narration when reading from a script.
Throughout the training, practical exercises will be used to help participants put these techniques into practice and receive feedback and guidance.
You will leave the course not only with experience, tailored advice, new contacts, and an improved skill set, but also a fully edited audioreel.
An audioreel is the multimedia element of your C.V, and the key to getting voiceover work. An audioreel gives employers a taste of your skills, style, and personality, and will get you noticed by those hiring.
